Top 5 Drinking Albums

5. Sublime - 40 oz. to Freedom

9th grade soundtrack right here

I'm picturing in my mind a crowded yet cramped bedroom wherein the mixing of Mr. Pibb and Jim Beam amongst several young adults was taking place. Indeed this album drowned out any doubt in our minds of what needed to happen next. Down the hatch, bros. This was truly the soundtrack to slurred speech. The anthem of alcoholic absurdity. The ballad of booze buddies.

4. Metallica - ...And Justice For All

Before we sued our fans, we raped them with awesomeness

Metallica's masterpiece by a wide margin, AJFA redefined Metal in many ways. The haunting melodrama of a raped and tortured lady justice is merely the backdrop for this brutal outing. Nothing beats kicking back a brew and banging your head to the onslaught of riffage and heart-pounding double bass within. Mark this one down for angry drunks to let off some steam.

3. Turisas - Battle Metal

Not to be confused with Peace Metal

One of the great things about Folk Metal is the music is so ridiculous and cheesy you can't help but love it. Raising a glass to enchanting tales of Vikings and sailing off to war is an activity anyone can have fun participating in. Turn up the true aria of ale "One More" to 11 as you won't be able to contain yourself from shouting the chorus at the top of your lungs.

2. 2 Pac - Loyal to the Game

10 to 1 those glasses are made of gold

Produced by Eminem and released in 2004, Loyal to the Game is a perfect blend of modern technology coming together with unreleased material. They compliment each other so well the urge to pour one for the homies is overwhelming. Enjoy with some Hennessey after a long day at work--doesn't get much better than that.

1. Alestorm - Captain Morgan's Revenge

Urge to swashbuckle: rising...

"So come take a drink and drown your sorrows! And all of our fears will be gone til tomorrow. We'll have no regrets and live for the day.. in Nancy's Harbor Cafe!" One of the great drinking choruses of our time. Pirate Metal is one of the most underrated sub-genres of Metal and Alestorm really drive that fact home with  Captain Morgan's Revenge. Shit.. I want a beer or 12 now. Drink up me hearties, yo ho!
